• Thank you to everyone who contributed to the "Loonies for the Library" campaign.  $1860 was raised between Dec. 1, 2009 and Jan. 29, 2010.  Support of the Iris Loewen Endowment Fund of the Sechelt Public Library is greatly appreciated and will help support library services and programs.

 The Iris Loewen Endowment Fund for the Sechelt Public Library was established upon the retirement of Chief Librarian Iris Loewen in May 2009, to celebrate her many accomplishments in service to the Library.

The endowment is managed by the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation and becomes active once it receives initial donations of $5,000.  The goal is to secure the remaining funds during the coming months, and then to continue to build the Endowment Fund's capital.  Annual interest payments from the endowment fund will be used to support special library programs and services.
